This year is the 100 years anniversary of establishment of the Republic of Türkiye. It’s great pleasure that the 5th International Conference on Earthquake Early Warning (ICEEW) will be held in Türkiye in the 100 years anniversary of the Republic.
We will kindly host the 5th ICEEW between 16th-18th October, 2023, in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The devastating earthquake hit the South-Eastern region of Türkiye earlier this year and revealed the need of earthquake risk reduction technologies.
The Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) as one of the earthquake risk mitigation system was developed in Japan in 1960s. Currently, in several countries EEW is issued publically, several other countries the EEW System is operational but it is not used publically. In some other countries, the EEWS is in testing stage towards to operational stage. In Türkiye, the EEWS is operational since the year 2002.
The 5th ICEEW will host the researchers, academicians, engineers, public and private sectors all around the world. The keynote speeches from experts, oral and poster presentations, panel discussions will be held during the Conference. The existing and new cutting edge technologies, algorithms will be discussed during the Conference.
